You suddenly turn to stare into Kuroko's blank eyes. You were lost in your pointless conversation -monologue- with the boy... so lost into your cheerful attitude that you nearly forgot he was here with you.
You smile at him and lean on the table grinning while he swallows a bit of his vanilla shake.
"So I'm as cute as Kise, ain't I?"
You can see in his eyes just a hint of amusement before he speaks.
"Nope. You're cute but he's far cuter than you."
Your expression falls into a depressed one, leaning dramatically on the table, trying to make him laugh.
"Ow that's unfair! I spend so much time trying to look nice and then you come and say that some random guy is cuter than me!"
Fake tears complete the scene and people start to look at you, apparently sitting alone with your face on that table at Maji Burger. You just can't help it, you like to be overly dramatic. Your friends usually think it's funny.
"He's not a random guy. He's a model."
Your painful cry makes everyone turn around and you'd love to see him freak out because of the attention, but Kuroko just goes back to his vanilla shake, staring at you. You smile softly, your voice is calm while you speak.
"Then why do I remind you of Kise?"
"You're loud and cheerful, you talk too much and you both like to be the center of eveyone's attention."
You laugh a bit and go back to your own vanilla shake, the guy wanted you to try it and now that is nearly over you're fighting back the need to get another one.
"Maybe you're right Kuroko, but if you put it that way Kise and I end up being attention whores."
Your smirk tells the whole wolrd that you really wished to see him stubling to get back what he said.
"That's not true, Kise is a really kind guy."
He goes back to his drink again, leaving you hanging and a bit stunned. He's playing with you and you know that, the point is that he's winning without any effort. You just pout.
"So I'm actually an attention whore."
He shakes his head lightly and looks into your (e/c) eyes with the most serious expression you ever saw on his face.
"No, you're not. You do it on purpose."
You clench a bit your teeth and just wait for him to go on.
"You try to look like Kise-kun so nobody will ever suspect that you're way more similar to Akashi-kun."
Both of you stare at each other in silence.
He caught you.
You can't help it, you analize everything and everyone, thinking of how things could turn out to be or in which way people can be useful... or maybe dangerous.
Every word, every movement, every glance is studied to get one specific reaction... and all that happy-go-lucky attitude was at first a simple way to make you look, well, stupid. Maybe less threathening.
You nonchalantly take a sip of your vanilla shake, you serious eyes still on the invisible boy.
"I don't like to be alone, Kuroko."
That was the simple truth, all you actually had to say about your weird -somehow split- personality. You don't want to be alone and in order to have friends you don't have to be scary at all.
He nods slowly and looks casually at the waiter who looks quite scared, she probably just noticed him. You giggle lightly and Kuroko just smiles a bit getting up.
"It's getting late, I need to go. See you soon, (name)."
He leaves and you stay there, sighing and wondering if a second milkshake would be that bad for your health. That wouldn't be worst than what just happened.
Crossing your arms on the table you hide your face into the soft fabric of your sleeves.
Now Kuroko knows that your attitude is just a well made façade.
Made up a long time ago... and now it feels so real that it hurts to know that your short friend probably thinks it's completely fake.
"...but it's true..."
You whine, pouting lightly, not caring if someone heard you and thought you were insane.
"...now I'm like this. Half Kise and half Akashi... is it that bad?"
You sigh again before hearing your mobile buzz on the table.
...orange is a nice colour, though.
You grin, replying with a smiling face, all your worry gone in one second.
Seeing Kagami with a bunch of hamburgers you make a suffering face, trying not to grin widely.
"Ah Kagami! Give me an hamburger! I'm starvig! You don't want (name) to die, right~"
He sits down beside you and offers you his hamburger.
"Here. Just one bite."
Smiling you bite down on the hamburger and chew on it happily.
Being a manipulative freak wouldn't be nice, but being an innocent pretty face surely is not your thing... Kuroko is right. Orange is a nice colour after all.
